Entertaining guests couldn’t be simpler with this dip. I first tasted this garlic olive spread at a restaurant a while back, and I was determined to figure out how to recreate it at home. It wasn’t too difficult; in fact, the recipe proved to be incredibly simple. The kalamata olives give this spread a lovely lavender hue. This delicious, salty olive spread/dip recipe goes great with baguettes, sour dough, bread rolls, crackers, and chips!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup kalamata olives, pitted and drained
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- A squeeze of lemon juice
Directions:
- Puree olives and garlic cloves in a food processor until they form a thick paste, then put in a bowl.
- Stir in the mayonnaise until the dip is a light purple color, or to taste. You may use more or less than suggested depending on how salty you like it.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice, stir, and serve with bread, crackers, etc.
